BJC and Washington University have teamed up to offer an exciting educational program for the study of Clinical Ethics.

Professional members (such as physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains and risk management staff) of the BJC and Washington University communities are invited to apply for the Medical Ethics Practicum with the BJH Ethics Committee.  This will provide core instruction in basic ethics principles as well as practical experience in policy development and case consultation.
Applicants will need supervisor approval and be available for a time commitment of up to 5-10 hours per month for approximately 6 months, with flexibility.  A certificate of completion will be provided and formal professional credit is provided for many sessions.

As of January 2018, we are in the process of developing a moral distress service, which will provide staff/employee education, support and formal consultation.
